Kalkan Holidays
All inclusive Kalkan holidays are on Turkey’s south west coast. The village was once the home to dangerous disease-carrying mosquitos but since their eradication in the 1950’s Kalkan has come into its own as a beautiful partly unspoilt piece of the coast. All inclusive Kalkan holidays are lovely little stays away in a small village with a population of just 9,000 locals.
On entering the resort on Kalkan holidays you will see what used to be traditional Greek stone houses. The majority of these have now been converted into shops and they stand in stark contrast to the modern apartments, villas and hotels that inhabit the harbour. Don’t let this put you off though as Kalkan holidays are still delightful breaks if you don’t mind an eclectic mix of the traditional and modern.
The Extra Bits
If this is not to your liking there are other reasons to head on all inclusive Kalkan holidays. Kalkan is one of the best places to stay if you want to be in close proximity to most of the sights along the Lycian Coast. Xanthos is just a 30 minute bus ride away from Kalkan village. Here you will see some amazing ancient Lycian tombs. Lycia was once the district for 19 cities along the coast here and Xanthos was the focal point for Lycia. The tombs around Xanthos are eerily based on real houses of the period reflected in the columns and windows shaped into the rock. After a day of discovery you will be pleased to get back to your hotel on all inclusive Kalkan holidays where you can have a nice meal washed down with a glass of wine.
