Paying for your holiday by credit card is always a good idea. If for some reason you are not furnished with your holiday, it is the credit card company that is liable to refund you the money paid. The law is for purchases more than £100 up to the value £30,000. Debit Cards are not included in this law. For a full breakdown of the section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, See the Financial Ombudsman for further information. Top

ATOL Protection

ATOL is another arrangement set up for tourists from the UK to protect them against financial loss if an airline or travel company fails. If it fails while you are already on holiday you will be ensured a flight home and you will not be out of pocket. It is recommended that you check when making bookings that are referred to from this site, that they are ATOL protected. Full information can be found on the ATOL website. Top
